Ian BrodieWho Is This Book For?

First, here’s who it’s NOT for. This is not about how to sell giant, mega speaking or training programs and have other people working for you to “coach” your content. Nor is it for those who want to turn your knowledge into products and retire from doing the work of coaching.

This is for you if you have a passion for coaching and want to sell your coaching services to executives in organizations. It is for the coach who loves coaching one-to-one and wants more of that. This book is for the tens of thousands of coaches around the world who want to crack the code on how to sell executive coaching services and grow a coaching business without selling your soul or growing more gray hairs.

Purpose

Our purpose in writing this book is to share what we’ve dubbed “the coach approach” to selling leadership or executive coaching services – in other words, the most direct route to getting paying coaching clients. In the book, we will mention other methods, but the real route to getting your ideal 1:1 executive coaching clients is by talking to them, not by hiding behind social media, your website, or other marketing tools. We teach a personal, relationship-based approach to marketing and selling using your coaching skills. There are many programs on the market for coaches by well-meaning marketing experts claiming to have THE system or THE approach that when you pay them thousands of dollars to learn it, will catapult you to six-figure success. Buyer beware! The market is flooded with entrepreneurs who are making a fortune by selling a money-making scheme to coaches. That’s not us. We’re just two master executive coaches who have successfully grown our respective coaching businesses for well over twenty years each, and we got together to discuss what works, and what doesn’t.
