Article Submission

Submission Guidelines

We are actively collecting articles, journals, digital books, research, whitepapers, audio and visual content to be added to the Library of Professional Coaching. If you would like your work to be considered for inclusion in the library please read the following agreement and submission requirements. Thank you for your support.

General Agreements & Policies

Submitting an article in no way guarantees its inclusion in the Library of Professional Coaching. We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason. Submission of articles and confirmation of receipt of article is not a statement of acceptance that the article will appear in Library of Professional Coaching.

Due to the number of submissions we receive, we do not personally reply to everyone. However, you will be notified via email of acceptance of your article.

By submitting your articles to the Library of Professional Coaching, you grant us the right to publish your article anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS. We may also change where it appears, how it appears, and how much appears at any time.

Submitting your articles to Library of Professional Coaching does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind. You will not receive compensation from Library of Professional Coaching.

We reserve the right to change our submission and publication policies and timeframe as appropriate.

UPDATE 2/2016: We have entered into a reciprocal publishing arrangement with the The Peer Bulletin Magazine  and choice, the magazine of professional coaching . This arrangement allows us to submit articles published on the Library of Professional Coaching website to their publication for further distribution. This is an advantage for most authors in that their work will be more widely shared.

Articles appearing on our site that will be considered for distribution to either of the other two magazines will not require that the author give permission or opt-in for this further distribution to take place.  Certain articles published on our website might not be suitable for this reciprocal distribution because of prior agreements with authors and/or original publishers. Submitting your work for consideration to be published by Library of Professional Coaching will also constitute permission granted for your work to be published on either or both of the other two publications above, at the sole discretion of the Library of Professional Coaching.

Intellectual Property Issues

Authors retain full copyrights to their submitted material.  Publishing with us does not compromise your rights, and you will retain ownership of your content. Articles are accepted for inclusion on condition that the submitter has secured all necessary clearances and approvals prior to submission. Writers who are not sole copyright holders should secure all necessary written proof of permission to submit prior to submission. Published articles and books usually need permission from the publisher before it can be reproduced electronically in our library. Published articles and/or book submissions should be submitted as a query letter.

Copyright Warning: If you do not own the full copyright to the article you are submitting, do not submit it.

Editing

All articles are peer-reviewed by the curators or editorial team members. The Library of Professional Coaching reserves the right to edit all reader contributions for clarity, format, or length. All accepted contributions will be converted into PDF format.

Please spell-check and proof read articles for grammatical errors prior to submitting. Do not submit articles filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. We do monitor article submissions and we will reject content that doesn’t meet this requirement.

For identification and marketing purposes, the Library of Professional (LPC) reserves the right to introduce non-intrusive LPC Watermarks, boilerplates, and/or summary pages to the articles.

Photographs & Artwork

Photographs & artwork to illustrate your article must be clear and distinct, submitted in PDF and Microsoft Word format. All submitted photographs and artwork should be original material submitted by the writer or should include credit or source and copyright information. Images embedded in articles may be removed at the library’s discretion if copyright is not provided.

Links in articles

Hypertext links in articles are reserved for our paying sponsors. Articles should refrain from self promotion as all articles will include your submitted bio and, if you’re a sponsor, it will include links to your website as well.

No affiliate links! The articles that you submit to Library of Professional Coaching should not contain affiliate links.

Instructions: Fill out the fields below and attach your article submission. Be sure to identify which category from the list (drop-down menus can be found by mousing over the black bar near the top of this page) your article best represents. Also, provide the search terms, keywords and an abstract/description you’d like applied to your article.  We will need your submission in either Microsoft Word or Rich Text in order to format it properly for inclusion in the Library.  Feel free to submit a PDF version in addition, if you have one, but without a Word Doc or Rich Text version, we will be unable to publish your article.  Thank you for your submission!
