Three skills - summarizing, reframing and paraphrasing - are considered core competencies .Yet, not all clients receive these skills well and as intended. Rather, most research subjects, who participated in the year-long development of a coaching model, did not consider these skills demonstrated empathy or effective listening. Nor, did most perceive that these skills necessarily facilitated their efforts to reach their goals.
