Having begun her career as an environmental scientist, Jane Slack is returning to these environmental roots having spent many years as a highly successful professional coach.
Janet Slack grew up in Portland, Maine and on Little Sebago Lake in Gray. Her love of the lake led her to her first career as an environmental scientist working in water and wastewater treatment. After a decade, she went back to school and became a mental health therapist working in hospitals, alcohol treatment centers and schools. Later Janet provided therapy as a private practitioner for many years. The first time Janet heard about coaching, she knew it was what she most wanted to do. Twenty years of coaching have now given her experience with most every type of coaching, but her true calling is working with smart, executive women who are in the middle of transition. Throughout her career, Janet has participated in volunteer work and pro bono coaching. Today her career has come full circle as she is now mostly retired and volunteering for the Little Sebago Lake Association by providing guidance for their Water Quality science program.
