Jeff Cohen

Jeff Cohen is the founder and principal of J.M. Cohen Associates (JMCA). With over 30 years of experience Jeff is considered a pioneer in the fields of executive coaching and organizational effectiveness. He founded JMCA after recognizing the need for a more dynamic and individualized coaching model for senior level executives with unique organizational problems. With this realization, he developed his revolutionary coaching process, Triadic Coaching, now an industry standard. This process takes a three-pronged approach that assures, among other objectives, alignment between the coachee and boss, the pivotal relationship in any organization.Jeff has helped hundreds of senior level executives from some of the world’s most prestigious companies to reach their goals. Prior to founding JMCA, Jeff worked at as a Senior Consultant at Organizational Research Counselors and The Hay Group where he consulted Fortune 500 clients on a variety of issues related to organizational effectiveness. Earlier in his career, Jeff worked for Revlon International as the Director of Human Resources where he played a critical role providing guidance and troubleshooting in 26 countries. Jeff was also a Director of Human Resources at Hertz Rental Car. Jeff has written numerous articles that have been published in scholarly journals as well as in mainstream outlets. For example, he has been commissioned to write, “Executive Coaching: A Retention Tool During Times Of Uncertainty,” in an anthology authored by distinguished Human Resource experts. He is a Board member of the New York Human Resources Planning Society and was previously a two-term president. He was also an officer at the New York affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Jeff holds a BS degree in Psychology and a MBA in Organizational and Industrial Psychology.

While getting input from an outside source surely has some value, if an expert coach is assisting a manager, you want truly professional coaching from someone who has an advanced degree in social science, extensive leadership experience in numerous businesses and a methodology that has proven effective across time, positions and industries. Moreover, a great coach has developed a flexible process that helps executives make significant changes that stick throughout their career.
