Mark McKergow

Mark McKergow PhD MBA is an author, consultant and speaker who specialises in bring new ideas to the management world. Mark is most recently co-creator of Host Leadership (www.hostleadership.com), which has developed the paradigm of leading as a host. This is a practical yet profound way to rethink roles and relationships at work, leading to better engagement and increased performance. He is the co-author of Host: Six new roles of engagement (Solutions Books, 2014). Mark is also know for his work in developing the international Solutions Focus community since 2000, and is co-author of three books on SF including the best-selling ‘The Solutions Focus’. He was closely involved with founding both the international SOLWorld network (www.solworld.org) and the SFCT professional body for Solution Focused consultants and trainers (www.asfct.org). Mark is also a visiting research fellow in philosophy at the University of Hertfordshire, where he runs the HESIAN research hub (http://herts.ac.uk/hesian) which investigates embodied and narrative paradigms of psychology and change. He edits the SFCT journal InterAction and also plays jazz saxophone.
