I am pleased to share some exciting news with you. The McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte is proud to announce the first Master of Science in Executive Coaching (MSEC) in North America. This is a big step for coaching and for Queens.

We will launch the Class of 2013 in May 2011. The MSEC program is a low-residency cohort program. Students will complete two graduate courses (6 credit hours) per term and complete the program in 24 months. The program was designed for working professionals in a variety of areas including coaching, organization development, learning and development, human resources, and general management/leadership. Each term will begin with an eight-day on-campus residency session. Students will work independently, in teams and with faculty to complete course work in a variety of subject areas. In addition to current members of our outstanding faculty at the McColl School, we will draw upon a worldwide faculty of scholar-practitioners. Attached is a flyer about the program that I hope will peak your interest and provide you with basic information about the program. Information is also available on the McColl School website at queens.edu/msec. Feel free to share this with others who might be interested.

A member of our admissions staff will be available at our booths at the upcoming OD Network (New Orleans) and International Coach Federation (Fort Worth) conferences to answer questions and provide additional information. We will offer virtual Information Sessions later this Fall and Winter for prospective students.

As you can imagine, I am excited about this “small step for ‘man’ and giant leap for coaching”. In addition to teaching in the program, I am serving as the program director. So, I’m having a blast.

Please let me know if you have questions or want additional information. Best regards…

Is Queens University of Charlotte accredited?

Yes. Queens is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB-International) and the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The McColl School is among the elite business schools in the world who have achieved the AACSB-International accreditation. Fewer than 5% have achieved this distinction. The McColl School is one of approximately 400 schools in the United States accredited by ACBSP.
