I build on the implications for professional coaching of behavioral economic principles, and consider the shifting economic nature of the society in which we live and, more basically, the shifting way in which we view reality.

I turn first to Emotions and then to the closely related matter of neurobiology and self-organizing systems as they impact the polystatic process of anticipation. Our emotions constitute the element in the “polystatic” process that provides most of the energy and some of the information needed to engage this dynamic, adaptive psychic process.

I broaden consideration of each VUCA-Plus element—considering the polarities associated with each element. I also introduce the opposite of VUCA-Plus.

Many years ago, Don Schon wrote about the "messes" being confronted by contemporary professionals. These messes are multi-dimensional, requiring multi-disciplinary perspectives and multi-strategied approaches to the coaching process itself.
