Daniel J.N. Weishut was born in the Netherlands, and migrated to Israel in 1981. He obtained an MA in clinical psychology in 1989, and an MBA in Integrated Business Administration in 2007, both from Hebrew University (Jerusalem), and is presently studying for a doctorate in Clinical & Organizational Psychology, at The Professional School of Psychology (Sacramento). He worked as a mental health officer in the Israel Defense Force, and as professional director of 'Elah, the centre for psychosocial help to people of Dutch origin and their families'. He now offers his therapeutic, consulting and supervisory services independently, as "Partner on the Way". With a world-view that people are diverse but equal, he volunteered in many settings, founding the psychosocial service of the 'Jerusalem Open House, for the LGBT community', and fulfilling leading positions in Amnesty International (Israel). He presently is co-chair of the Israel Association of Group Psychotherapy.
